Baglung Nagarpalika Health Section, Nepal

We’re excited to introduce a new link in Nepal, the Baglung Nagarpalika Health Section.  This is the 28th link we have provided to Nepal. Through the link with SCT, Baglung will be able to send referrals to our consultants worldwide using telemedicine.

Baglung is situated in western Nepal, 275km from Kathmandu, with a population of around 58,000; it also encompasses the area of mid-Kali Gandaki for healthcare, education and business purposes.

As you can see from the picture of the main office, precautions are being taken seriously in respect of Covid-19. There is currently a high risk of community transmission in Baglung.

The centre in Baglung will be headed by a doctor, 20 nurses and 30 paramedics with the facility for 20 beds.  There is a basic laboratory, and the ability to do rapid diagnostic testing and ECG’s.
