This new platform, operating under a new NGO set up by our partners, continues our commitment to providing free, expert medical advice to healthcare providers in remote and resource-limited settings worldwide.

Why the Change?
OpenTelemed is built on Swinfen’s legacy, offering an updated platform that aims to strengthen our community and enhance your engagement on the platform:

  • Enhanced User Experience: A refreshed design that keeps core features with more intuitive and user-friendly design.

  • Expand Our Global Reach: Strengthen and expand our network of 525 volunteer specialists and 419 clinics across 96 countries, helping us connect more cases in need to essential medical knowledge.

  • Continue Our Mission: Remain dedicated to reducing health inequalities by delivering critical medical knowledge and specialist consultations to those who need it most.

What’s Staying the Same?

  • Our mission to provide telemedical care free of charge for cases of need remains unchanged.

  • Your access to current and past consultations will continue seamlessly on OpenTelemed.

  • You don’t need to do anything different! Please continue to send and respond to cases.

Transition Timeline and Key Information

  • Wednesday, September 18th: The Swinfen Network will officially go live on the OpenTelemed URL.

  • Automatic Redirection: The current Swinfen Telemed URL will automatically redirect you to the new site –  https://swinfen.opentelemed.org

  • Same Login Credentials: You can continue using your existing username and password on OpenTelemed, though we recommend changing it occasionally.

What You Need to Do:

  • Bookmark https://swinfen.opentelemed.org and continue using your existing credentials.

  • IMPORTANT: We encourage you to actively submit new referrals and respond to cases. Your engagement is vital in continuing to provide timely, life-changing medical advice.
